Cheltenham Gold Cup 2025

The Cheltenham Gold Cup typically occurs on the fourth day of the Cheltenham Festival and is the most significant race in the British and Irish jump season calendar. The prize money amounts to an impressive £625,000, and last year, an extraordinary 71,500 people attended the Cheltenham Festival on Gold Cup day. It’s also estimated that an astonishing 220,000 pints of Guinness were consumed over the event’s four days, plus 9,000 gallons of tea and five tons of cheese. Whatever happens, it’s always a day to remember.

Provided everything goes according to plan, last year’s Gold Cup winner, Galopin Des Champs, will be back for Willie Mullins and attempt to win the race for the third time in a row. Best Mate was the last horse to achieve this in 2004; it’s guaranteed to be a thrilling and exciting race.
